The owners of CBA are the sweetest most accepting people ever. We had a blast hiking up to see the eclipse with them. They thought of EVERYTHING from delightful bloody marys to moon pies for snacking on during the eclipse to listening to the Dark Side of the Moon. They truly made the eclipse experience one to treasure forever. The group was small and intimate and everyone was very respectful. CBA was kind enough to open their home to everyone and cook us up super tasty meals throughout the day. We will definitely be booking an adventure with them again.

If you are looking for fun and adventure, these folks know what they are doing!! Mark and Bernie take all the stress of planning a trip and turn it into perfect memories. We were some of the lucky few that got to experience their private eclipse viewing and had an absolute blast! Other than hummus, there wasn’t one thing they left out or anything I would change. Book your adventure today! I can’t wait until next time!!

Mark is extremely knowledgeable about the Smokey Mountains, and gives thoughtful insight on the plants and wildlife in the area. The hike was beautiful, and Mark is a super interesting and friendly tour guide. He also tells a great joke or two! Thanks again Mark for the awesome experience!

Mark was an excellent guide, so glad we found him. My husband and I came to Bryson city for our honeymoon, and Mark took us on a guided waterfall hike. My husband has had multiple knee surgeries, and has difficulty with hills, but Mark was able to accommodate us, and we did not feel rushed at all. We were able to go as slow as needed, and still saw all the beautiful sights. I’ve visited the smokies yearly since I was a child, and I still learned so much about the mountains from Mark. Highly recommend!

Mark at Carolina Bound Adventures was a fantastic guide. He personalized our hike based on conversations and emails prior to us arriving in Bryson City. On the hike, he taught us so much about the history of the area and the many flowers, trees, and mushrooms that grow there. No bears, snakes or pigs were seen, but we were ready for whatever we encountered.

Highly recommend!! My husband and I had an awesome experience with Sarah. We requested a go for it hike and our hike to Shuckstack Fire Tower did not disappoint. We met Sarah at Fontana Dam and we were able to learn a little about the history of the Fontana Dam during our short car ride to the trailhead. The hike was challenging but manageable with breaks to discuss local wildlife and plants/trees. Sarah was very knowledgeable on the area and plants/trees we were interacting with on our hike. The views were stunning through out the hike especially at the top of the fire tower. The hike involved a section of the Appalachian Trail so, definitely a cool bucket list item to check off. Request this hike (and Sarah)!!
