This Waterfalls Hike is guided, designed for all and a great way to get out, hike and see the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The hike is anticipated to be around 3 hours. We’ll hike past 3 waterfalls and you’ll take away a vast amount of information on this interpretive experience in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You’ll learn about the history of the Cherokee Indians, pioneers who settled here, development of the National Park and the vast eco diversity of the Smoky Mountains. The hike includes a back country guide and hiking poles. This hike is centered near Bryson City, NC and is a moderate intensity hike. 2 person minimum booking required. All back country guides are wilderness first aid certified and we practice leave no trace protocols. Carolina Bound Adventures operates under a special Great Smoky Mountains National Park permit and holds Commercial Use Authorizations for Guided Hikes and Backpacking. Took 4 hour waterfalls tour into Smoky Mountain National Park with Mark. Great hike, just the right difficulty for my wife and I. Hike is not flat by any means, so be prepared to do some uphill walking. Trail is well maintained and easy to navigate.
Mark is an exceptional host, who’s knowledge of the woods and the park made the excursion even better.

In late April 2025 and as part of our USA Road Trip, we organised both a hiking and separate biking trail with Mark of CBA. My 1/2 day hike was superb. We saw much flora and fauna of this small part of the Great Smokies NP as well as several waterfalls of which Mark was very familiar.
We discussed many local historical developments including where the early settlers lived prior to the Park’s formation.The walk was easy and all on comfortable paths.
