"Mark was an INCREDIBLE guide for our sunset hike! We hiked with our 4yr old daughter and my 7yr old nephew and he was incredibly kind, patient, and encouraging to them. We were picked up in a very nice Lincoln Navigator complete with hand sanitizer and Lysol spray readily available. Mark is great with communication. He always responded to every email and even sent me information on his own. We all felt very prepared because of Mark. We had not been on a hike like this and were nervous, but left feeling amazing and so accomplished! We loved that Mark knew about the different wildlife on the hike. He had us stop at different times and encouraged us to drink water. The view at the top is SECOND TO NONE! It was incredible!!!! Worth every step! He brought snacks (and even Twizzlers knowing we had our children). Mark was patient with my 4yr old daughter who wanted to hike and then get into my carrier. He never made us feel like a burden or that he was inconvenienced. He involved our children in so many things and made them feel so special. I personally was nervous about the way back, knowing it was going to be pitch black. Mark had us all set up accordingly! He provided us with hand lamps, headlamps, and walking sticks for every single person in our party (6). Everything lit up the trail beautifully! We were so amazed and NOT afraid at all! We enjoyed every single second of this excursion and would recommend this to every single person! Thank you Mark for such a great experience! We will never forget a second of this Sunset Hike excursion!”

"We’re having an absolute blast in Bryson City, NC, having adventure after adventure! We went on a sunset cruise on Fontana Lake with @carolinaboundadventures and Mark was an outstanding captain. He offers all kinds of guided adventures, such as brewery tours, waterfall hikes, and boat tours. He also offers vacation services including hiker shuttles, kayak and boat rentals, pet sitting services, and even pre-arrival grocery shopping! If you want help planning and reserving excursions, he can do that too. He can set you up with pretty much anything this great area has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him on the lake, and highly recommend @carolinaboundadventures 🤙🏻”
