Our Train and Canopy Combo trip will start in Bryson City at the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Depot. You will ride through the Smoky Mountains, cross Fontana Lake on a trestle bridge and up into the Nantahala Gorge. On your 2-hour train ride, watch paddlers challenge the rapids on the Nantahala River while enjoying lunch on the Train. At the top-of-the-line, you will disembark the train and travel a short distance to Wildwater’s Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tour. The Canopy Tour will include instruction, 13 ziplines, 8 sky bridges and last about 2-2 1/2 hours in a Smoky Mountain forest. After enjoying a fully guided tour including spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains and Fontana Lake and Clingman’s Dome, your adventure will end with a trip back at your car in Bryson City. Requirements: For the Canopy Tour Participants must be 10 years old and between 70 and 250 lbs. All participants must wear closed-toed shoes. Members of your group and escorted young children who do not want to go on the canopy tour can remain on the train, meeting up with the group later on in the afternoon. *The train-only trip finishes 2 hours before the Train and Canopy Combo trip gets back to Bryson City.
