Open air Jeep tours in the Nantahala Gorge visits multiple waterfalls and is a great casual way to get outdoors, see the mountains and wildlife! Guided by professionals, the intensity level is rated “relaxing”! Trip length is approximately 2 hours and runs April through October with a minimum weight of 40 lbs for participants. Advanced Reservations Recommended. NOTE: “Same day or next day” availability can not be guaranteed. Many adventures book well in advance of the desired date and/or may not be available on a desired date. Our Jeep tour was great start to finish. From answering my questions before we booked, through out the trip including the lunch recommendation from John for the Topoco Tavern it was fantastic. We went places we never would have gone on our own. The scenery was gorgeous and the stops really added to our experience. We have our 40 something developmentally delayed son with us, this was safe, understandable and enjoyable for him too. I’m sure their more adventurous tours are great too, but this fit our needs exactly.

If you want to really see the mountains and all of God’s beautiful creation, the jeep ride is the way to go!! The scenery was spectacular and you were right in the middle of it. Paul, our guide, was very knowledgeable and was just a great person all around. I would definitely recommend.

Carolina Bound Adventures basically made our trip to North Carolina. They provide any adventure you can think of. I only wished I could do them all in our vacation! Mark and Dave were our guides for a Jeep Tour and a Canoeing tour. They were both very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the cultural and environmental history of the area. This really was one of my favorite birthday trips I’ve taken in a while and North Carolina will always have a special place in my heart because of this. I usually try to travel to different places I’ve never been to before but I really want to go back to NC! Definitely do not hesitate to book with Carolina Bound Adventures! Took the Jeep tour and it was very fun and educational. Jesse was great and knew all the ends and outs of the tour. Saw some interesting places. Wish we had booked our rafting trip with them.

My mom and I took this tour during our weekend getaway! The jeep tour started out a little rainy, but we had protection over our heads and our driver dried all of our seats. The tour was very interesting and we learned a lot about the history of the area. Watching the rafters was also a lot of fun! Our driver was kind and very knowledgeable and showed us all of the great spots that we would never have found on our own. We highly recommend the tour.
